Kremmling Outpost is Open!

Sitting 37 miles north of I-70, the major highway that cuts Colorado in half horizontally, Kremmling is a beautiful place to visit off the beaten path. Nestled between Byers Canyon and Gore Canyon, Kremmling calls the upper Colorado River home and it is now open for rafting season.

Referred to as one the most scenic river trips in all of Colorado, rafting on the ‘Upper C’ is an experience you will never forget. Mountains seem to jet like spears out of the river like peninsulas and the weather is always remarkable. Averaging temperatures in the high 70’s throughout the summer, the sun is sure to make the river glisten.

There are a number of rafting trips that Breckenridge Whitewater offers guests and their friends and families out of Kremmling. The most popular being our Half Day and Full Day Float trips. There are no age restrictions, we just ask that everyone weigh over 30 lbs. Rafts can hold up to 10 people and is a great outing for the whole family. Not only that, but there are multiple activities to take part in once on the river. On the side of the river there is a natural hot spring waiting to be swam in, but even more exhilarating than the hot springs are the cliff jumping opportunities. Rafts can stop to allow guests to jump off either a 10ft. cliff or a 40ft. cliff for the real adventure seekers.

If anyone in your party is looking for a different kind of adventure than inflatable kayaks, also known as duckies, can be rented and taken along with the rafting trips. This is a great option for someone who is fit and would like to paddle his or her own boat down the river. Guests must be 10 years of age or older.

Come and enjoy the summer with Breckenridge Whitewater and enjoy rafting on the Upper C!
