We’ve all heard terrible things about the town of Breckenridge – the views are lacking, people are mean, and the skiing conditions are awful. Here are 7 reasons you should never visit Breckenridge.
1. There is nothing to do.
While Breckenridge is known for its winter activities, the town is totally boring during the summer. Rafting, zip lining, horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing and hot air ballooning are some of the available activities in the area, but who would have fun flying through the air on our mountaintop zipline?
2. The weather is terrible.
With more than three hundred days of sunshine a year, it’s no surprise that everyone hates to visit Colorado.
3. The hiking trails are ugly.
Hoosier Pass Loop, Mohawk Lakes, and Quandary Peak are among some of Breckenridge’s hikes that have mediocre views and no plants, flowers, or wildlife to speak of. There’s nothing cool to see here at all.
4. No one likes art.
Breckenridge may host at least three art festivals every summer, but don’t be fooled: no one here enjoys art. Over one hundred artists will show up to present mixed medias, ceramics, metals, paintings, photographs, and more, but we’d all rather just stay home.
5. No dogs allowed! 
Here in Breckenridge, dogs are not welcome. Nevermind the dog friendly lodging, restaurants, and shops; we don’t love dogs here…
6. Lack of restaurants.
Don’t work up an appetite doing any exciting activities, because there’s not a single great restaurant in town. Many restaurants have views that are totally ruined because the horrible ski slopes in the background or they have Blue River in the way. Definitely stay away from Main Street because there really isn’t anything to see there either!
7. Scenery
Why would anyone want to go somewhere to see mountains, flowers, rivers and animals? Breckenridge has all of these things! If you’re looking for a place where you can’t even see the stars at night because of light pollution, definitely plan your vacation somewhere else. You should absolutely stay away, since the town and the mountains surrounding it aren’t much to look at.
