Things to do in Breck Right Now

While we wait for the snow to arrive in the High Rockies, there are still plenty of activities other than skiing and snowboarding that you can enjoy in Breckenridge, CO! Whether you are looking for adventure or a little more relaxation there are plenty of options for you.

If you are looking to go on an adventure and the day looks clear, there are plenty of hiking trails around Breckenridge ranging from relaxing strolls through the woods to hiking mountains. If you are looking for something easy and relaxing to take the whole family, you can take a drive to the top of Hoosier Pass along the Continental Divide. Once you reach the summit of Hoosier Pass all you need to do is park your car, grab some water and start walking along the trail. It is very well marked and easy to find your way. After a short hike the views are amazing and you are able to see for miles on a clear day.

For those of you looking for more of a challenge and have a little more experience, Quandary Peak is close by. If you are looking to get above 14,000 feet this is a classic Colorado climb! While you’re shopping be sure to stop in at one of the many restaurant options as well! If you are a fan of micro-brews, Broken Compass Brewing Company has some of the best drinks around. It is a very relaxing atmosphere with old chairlifts right inside to sit down and enjoy a cold brew. If you’re not afraid of a little spice be sure to try the Chili Pepper Pale Ale!

If you are in town between January 11th-14th come out to celebrate Ullr Fest! Get out your Viking attire and help us beg the god of winter for a long winter full of snow. Every year this festival attracts a large crowd of all ages that comes out to enjoy the parade that goes right down Main Street!
