AVA’s “Upper C” float trips are great family getaways through spectacular Colorado backcountry! This section of the Colorado River features “junior-starter” rapids that will thrill the kids and spectacular mini-gorges that dazzle sightseers of any age. Winding through the Gore Range and mountain ranchland, you may spot bald eagles soaring overhead, stop to check out historical mining cabins, or choose to leap from Jump Rock or Little Jump Rock, perfect for all levels of bravery! Paddle one of these super-stable yet tiny boats alone or with a child or friend. A guide will accompany your group but you’ll have control of your own course downstream! No experience required.
