Creekin’ – A True Colorado Adventure!
Only 30 miles from Denver!
Creekin’ (that’s what we call rafting on Clear Creek) catches your attention like no other whitewater on earth. Running straight off Loveland Pass – a craggy ridge 12,000 feet high on the Continental Divide – Clear Creek exemplifies Colorado whitewater adventure.
When prospectors followed Clear Creek uphill in search of gold in 1859, they dubbed the narrow valley “Toughcuss Canyon” for its rugged terrain and turbulent waters. One of the original strikes of the Front Range gold rush, Clear Creek pay dirt helped to pave the way for Colorado’s statehood. The canyon lost its name, but its old west legacy lives on with the boomtowns of Empire, Central City and Idaho Springs that line the stream today.
