GETTING TO KNOW THE BLUE RIVER
Rafting the Blue River
We’ll meet you near the Blue River on Hwy 9 north of Silverthorne, where the intermediate whitewater fun begins. After changing into wet suits and splash jackets (if the weather warrants their use), you’ll get a thorough safety talk from your guides. Hop in the raft and start learning to paddle as a group. Before you know it, you’ll be facing the rapids and working together as a team to navigate Breckenridge’s Blue River. Just don’t expect to stay dry! At the end of the Breckenridge Whitewater Rafting trip, an AVA vehicle will be waiting to pick you up. The backdrop of the steep and craggy Gore Range provides some of the most beautiful views you’ll find on any river near Breckenridge.
