Clear Creek Whitewater Rafting Trips

WELCOME TO CLEAR CREEK

Idaho Springs, CO

When prospectors followed Clear Creek uphill in search of gold in 1859, they dubbed the narrow valley, “Toughcuss Canyon” for its rugged terrain and turbulent waters.

One of the original strikes of the Front Range gold rush, Clear Creek Pay Dirt, helped to pave the way for Colorado’s statehood. The canyon lost its name, but its old west legacy lives on today with the boomtowns of Empire, Central City, and Idaho Springs that line the stream today.

All Clear Creek Rafting Trips depart from our Idaho Springs Outpost, located just a half hour from Denver and one hour from Breckenridge.
