24 Hours on the Colorado River
For those seeking a weekend getaway, Breckenridge Whitewater offers a 2-day trip on the Colorado River that incorporates Class II rapids, stand up paddling, and inflatable kayaks. Get started with a leisurely first day, checking in after lunch before rafting through the afternoon and camping along the river. With miles of experience under your belt, you can spend the following morning taking on the wave trains in an inflatable kayak or trying your skills at stand up paddleboarding. Throughout your trip, your friendly and knowledgeable guides will instruct you on the basics of paddling while entertaining you with local lore and trivia about the surrounding landscape.
3 Day Upper Colorado River Float
Make that weekend a long weekend! New this year, Breckenridge Whitewater has added a three day float trip. You’ll get to raft, kayak, and paddleboard just like on the two day trip, but now you have three full days to soak it all in. Your guides will take care of setting up and breaking down camp each night, and they’ll prepare delicious hot meals so you have plenty of energy out on the river. Enjoy side trips like swimming in the local hot springs and taking short side hikes, or just kick back on the raft and enjoy the surrounding scenery and abundant wildlife!
On all of our overnight trips, BWR provides tents, camp furniture, meals, and sleeping pads. We have sleeping bags available for rent. We also provide all rafting equipment – wetsuits, splash jackets, life jackets – free of charge. Both trips leave from our Kremmling Outpost, l0cated just one hour from Breckenridge, Keystone, Winter Park and Steamboat Springs and two hours from Denver.
