Winter is Here: Breckenridge Opening Day
October 29th, 2014
Approaching faster than a speeding super hero, winter has been spreading its icy fingers into nearly every crevice, crevasse, tree well and mountaintop in Colorado high country. This is a tell-tale sign that with only a few weeks of transition, winter is here. Breckenridge opening day will be following in close pursuit, as the slopes continue to get blanketed with the glorious Colorado powder we like to refer to as “champagne.” The resort is planning to open on November 7, which, means we are all on the edge of our seats and just can’t wait!
Early season specials are currently running for most passes through the resort, but they won’t last long, so if you’re a penny pincher, get your pass today! Breckenridge offers five different options for season passes, so everyone can get the perfect ticket to ride. There is also the option to purchase single day-use lift tickets, in case your stay in the area is just a short one. All of the prices, whether season pass or single use, are subject to change and do change often, so act now to get the best deals.
Home to some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the entire state, as you may be aware, Breckenridge is the destination for those wanting to stay in Summit County. It is perfect for families with children, friends and just about any group of people that is looking for a place to go on vacation. Unlike most resorts in Colorado, Breckenridge is not just a resort though, but an entire town complete with all the fixins. You may not realize it, but we’ve got over 130 restaurants in town that are guaranteed to satisfy your cravings. In addition to this, all the services you would come to expect from a larger city are easily accessible here.
So cinch down those boots or strap on your board and if you can, get out to Breckenridge for their opening day! It’s right around the corner.
