Thanksgiving is a great time to get out and head to the resorts for some preseason holiday skiing or riding. Keystone is helping to kick of the Christmas season this Thanksgiving weekend with a holiday parade in Ripperoo’s Village, a lighting of River Run featuring Santa himself. Parades dazzling with LET torchlight’s, hot cocoa, Santa photo-ops, a fireworks display, and more fun awaits those who plan to attend this Keystone Kidtopia Extravaganza. In addition to the fun in Ripperoo’s Village, there will also be snow tubing atop Decrum Mountain as well as the ceremonial lighting of the world’s largest snow fort!
In Frisco on Thanksgiving the 6th Annual Turkey Day 5K kicks off at 9:30 AM. This is a great family activity for the whole family to burn a few calories before chowing down on some delicious food with friends and family. Stick around for the post-race party for prize giveaways and refreshments. Another great family activity to do during Thanksgiving weekend will be going to the Frisco tubing hill, great for the youngsters and those young at heart. There is surface lift to get you to the top, so no hiking necessary.
