Mardi Gras Breckenridge Style
February 11th, 2015
Spring time brings Mardi Gras to Breckenridge! We are excited to celebrate 2015 Mardi Gras Breckenridge style!
Surprisingly, there are a lot of celebrations in the mountains. It all starts with a mountain style crazy version of a “Fat Tuesday” Street Party/Parade in Breckenridge starting at about 2 p.m. on main street. But, drinking can begin much earlier!
Breckenridge is closing off Main street much like Bourbon Street in New Orleans. It is bound to be an awesome time with beads and boas included. Lots of dancing, live Zydeco music and Hurricane drink specials galore! It is going to be a lot of fun!
Lost Cajun? Not here! Floods of folks from all over Louisiana love to show up in the mountains to enjoy and celebrate their state’s favorite week long holiday. It’s been reported by many locals that the delicious smells of Seafood Gumbos, Crawfish Etouffee, Red Beans and rice fill the air for most of our neighborhoods every February.
Here are some more details about the celebration. We hope to see you there!
