Coming to Breckenridge, CO this summer is a great way to experience the outdoors and to view the beautiful scenery offered by the Rocky Mountains. There are numerous activities to take part in including rafting, hiking, biking, ziplining, and fishing which are all in close proximity to the Breckenridge area. One activity that never ceases to amaze is the beautiful scenery and thrill provided by horseback riding.
In the heart of Breckenridge, located on Peak 9 of the ski resort, are the Breckenridge Stables. Start your day by driving onto the resort in order to access the stables. If you have some extra time before or after your trip, drive past the stables for some gorgeous views of Breckenridge and the surrounding areas. Here is where you will meet with your group and take a quick tour of the grounds to get to know all of the horses and your guide. Once you have your horse, learn the basics of riding and then take off with your group on a 2 hour excursion that takes guests all around the ski resort and into the forest nearby. Enjoy yourself as you cross over streams, through forests and underneath chairlifts.
Horseback riding is one of the many ways to enjoy the summer and fall months on Breckenridge Ski Resort. Try a trip that we refer to as “From the Saddle to the Paddle” and embark on a rafting excursion along with you horseback riding.
