May is a very special month for us because it is the official start to whitewater rafting season! With the snow melting quickly, our rivers are starting to flow during May and the river trips are excellent! There are a few incentives to coming rafting in May and those include lower prices, less crowds, and great whitewater! Since many do not think of this month as a great time to come enjoy the river, you often get to raft on smaller trips with less people on the river. This allows a more intimate experience to share with the family. In addition, you will often find lower rates during May on all your favorite river trips. You will also experience excellent whitewater conditions as the snow is often melting very quickly at this time and the rapids are extremely exciting during this month.
