Breckenridge Mountain has opened and the snow is really starting to fall. Must mean winter is here! With the arrival of winter, we are anxiously awaiting some of our favorite winter traditions in Breck. If you are in town for any of the below events, be sure you don’t miss any of the Peak1 Express staff’s favorite traditions in Breck.
December 6th: Every year hundreds of Santas race down historic Main St in Breckenridge, it is truly a sight to see. Starting at 4:45pm and open to all, you can jog, walk, run, or even skip to the end of the finish line. With all proceeds benefiting Adopt an Angel, this charitable event is a perfect way to get into the giving spirit this holiday season. Additionally, on this day the Lighting of Breckenridge will take place. Located in the Blue River Plaza people will gather around with free hot chocolate for the lighting of the town tree.
December 11th-14th: For its seventh straight year Breckenridge will host the Dew Tour. For four glorious days, some of the best winter athletes will compete in various slopestyle, superpipe, and streetstyle skiing and snowboarding. Complete with live music entertainment and giveaways, the mountain and town will be alive with tons of winter sport enthusiasts.
January 11th-17th: Celebrating its 52nd year, Ullr Fest comes back to Breckenridge once again. Come celebrate Ullr, the God of Snow, for hopes of a killer ski season! With tons of activities, ranging from Ullympics to the Ullr Parade, there is something suitable for all ages. So grab your horns and some friends and come on and pray for snow!!
