December 1st – 31st, Breckenridge Heritage Alliance Tours: The Breckenridge Heritage Alliance is offering several types of tours during the month of December. December 4th, “Fade to Winter” premiere by Matchstick Productions: Get in the snow-sport mindset by watching professional skiers tour the globe and ski pow. Enjoy free beer (1st 100 in door), auctions, a $4,000 raffle, and lots of giveaways! Doors open at 8:00 pm at the Riverwalk Center ($15 for adults, $5 for children. Kids under 5 enter FREE). December 5th, Lighting of Breckenridge/Race of the Santas: Festivities kick off around 2 pm with dancers and singers at the Blue River Plaza. Race of the Santas, where hundreds of people dress up as Santa and race down Main Street, starts mid-afternoon. Cookies, hot cocoa, and tree lighting follow along with a Bernese Mountain Dog Parade.
December 10th – 13th, Dew Tour Mountain Championships: Watch top ski and snowboard athletes in the world compete while enjoying live concerts, athlete meet and greets, games, and giveaways!
December 11th, Winter Ice Show Around the World: Enjoy local youth and adult figure-skaters along with former professional skaters showcase their skills. Doors open at 7:00 pm at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena ($6 tickets, kids 3 & under enter FREE).
December 22nd – 30th, A Christmas Story Stage Adaptation: Enjoy Breckenridge’s on stage adaptation of “A Christmas Story”; a tale of American Christmas and growing up in the midwest. Find more information at TownofBreckenridge.com.
December 24th-25th, Christmas Dining: Take some turns before eating to make room for delicious festive dining. Sit next to a warm fire at Hearthstone, relish epic views of Breckenridge ski resort at Relish, or savor a wild game Christmas day feast at Briar Rose Chophouse.
