Now that the first snowfall of the year has touched down in the Rockies and the weather is looking cooler and cooler, it is fair to say fall is here. Fall in the Rockies is always one for the books, with the world famous Aspen trees changing color and the endless number of Oktoberfests around the area. This year is shaping up no different. The Breckenridge Oktoberfest is about 10 days out and the trees seem to be less and less green by the hour. Here are some of our favorite Pilsners, Lagers and Marzens to get us through to the ski seasons.
Colorado has been slowly building up a reputation as one of the microbrewery powerhouses in the country with close to 250 breweries in state. In addition to all of the amazing in state brews there is also a large influx of imported beer especially when it comes to the fall months that coincide with the Oktoberfest season that runs from late August to mid-October. For those looking for a must have listed of top beers from the state, here is my order:
- Odell Brewing Company, Oktoberfest Marzen
- Avery Brewing Company, Pump[KY]n Ale
- Boulder Beer, Good Trip Tripel
- Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project, Batch 200
- Living the Dream Brewing Company, Ice Climber.
Although some may be more obscure then others, these are some of the top-rated beers around the state, specifically for the Fall months.
For those less keen on alcoholic beverages Colorado also offers some of the coffee and juice bars in the country. For more information of brews, blends and juices feel free to give us a call at (800) 370-0581. Have a great rest of your fall and we will see you again when the snow returns!
