Best Soup in Summit County

After a long day on the slopes you may not be able to feel your fingers or toes.  Some tend to head straight for a glass of whiskey to warm up, but if you’re in the mood for some food what better way to warm yourself from the inside out than have some soup?  With a lot of places offering soups, it’s hard to choose the best spot.  Check out the following places in Summit County for a nice homemade chowder.

Soupz On: This tiny restaurant in a strip mall may not seem like much, but it is quite literally the best soup around.  Hands down our favorite lunch spot throughout our Breckenridge office, our employees probably give them the most consistent business week by week.  Each day, Soupz On offers a variety of homemade soups, salads and sandwiches.  All the soup recipes have been crafted to perfection by the owners and they update their menu online every morning so you can check out their selection prior to hitting the road.

Pho Bay II: Located near the lobby of the Baymont Inn and Suites, this may not seem like your typical go-to for a great bowl of noodles.  Don’t be too quick to judge though, Pho Bay has some of the best (and only) pho in summit county.  If you want a hot bowl of noodles with traditional Vietnamese bone broth there really isn’t anywhere else that is comparable.  Be on the lookout as well, Pho Bay is opening another spot in Breckenridge in the near future!

Arapahoe Café and Pub Down Under: In downtown Dillon, this little restaurant reigns supreme no matter what you are looking forward to eating.  The menu boasts a wide variety of comfort foods, including an incredible soup spread.  Each day of the week there is a different specialty menu item that is at a discounted rate and they are all top-notch.

The Goat: Soup and whiskey are the mainstays at The Goat in Dillon, so for the person who wants whiskey as a warmer-upper – make sure to come here!  The Goat is known throughout the county for their incredible soup and the atmosphere it is served in.  The restaurant also hosts many different musical guests… be sure to check out the website to see whose playing and the soup specialty for each day of the week.  This is only open during the winter season, so don’t forget to stop by on your ski vacation!

Hearthstone: This is typically known as an upscale eatery in Breckenridge.  Many decadent dishes are offered, but the soup is definitely one to die for.  The soups here have been carefully crafted for enjoying in the colder winter months and are a perfect way to warm up after a chilly day.  The old Victorian building houses antique decorations and a lot of ski town history.

No matter where your palate leads you, one of these places will definitely make you happy!  Each option provides excellent soup choices as well as some food for those non-soup lovers out there.  For other ideas for your vacation or tips on activities, give us a call at 877-RAFTING.  No matter what time of year you’re enjoying the Rocky Mountains, we have tons of activities for you!
