After a long day of hitting the slopes in Breckenridge, there is nothing quite like a fresh cold beer to refresh you. With so many different craft breweries and great restaurants to check out, it can be hard to choose where to go. Whether you are a connoisseur of the finer beers or just looking for a fun night out with friends, there is a beverage and an atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. Check out these spots next time you’re in town.
Breckenridge Brewery
Situated right off Main Street on the south side of Breckenridge is the Breckenridge Brewery. Offering everything from IPA’s and stouts, to lagers and seasonal brews, you can’t go wrong. A fun upbeat spot with two patios and a spectacular view of the Tenmile Range make a perfect destination for the whole family.
Canteen Tap House and Tavern
This delicious burger joint on the north side of Breckenridge off of Main Street has 14 Colorado brews on tap. Try the specialty or whatever is on the Summit County rotating handle that day! Paired with the homemade mac & cheese or house-smoked brisket and a beautiful patio, the Canteen will have you fully refueled after a day on the slopes.
Broken Compass
This local favorite is incredibly popular due to the fun games offered at the brewery as well as the dog-friendly environment. Broken Compass also has some unique beers, such as a Coconut Porter or a Chili Pepper Pale Ale. Though they don’t serve food, head to the brewery on Monday night for their weekly potluck!
Proust
Head 8 miles north of Breckenridge to the town of Frisco for this next spot. Proust is known for their beer and sausage pairings and has over thirty different bottled brews to try out. This stop is also a fun place to go to check out some international vibes.
Rocky Mountain Underground
Smack dab in the middle of Breckenridge is Rocky Mountain Underground. Not only to they have a fantastic beer selection, there is also a gear shop and beer garden out back during the summer months. With eleven different craft beers on tap and live music often, “RMU” is a hot spot for an afternoon beverage.
Ollie’s Pub and Grub
Be sure to grab a basket of wings and a beer at Ollie’s Pub and Grub while in Breckenridge. If you’re hoping to catch your sports team on TV, Ollie’s is a great destination. When Breckenridge is too hectic during peak season, head to the other Ollie’s just a town away in Frisco!
