Stand Up Paddleboarding in the Rockies

If you are heading out to the Rocky Mountains this summer and are looking to try something new for all ages and fitness levels, then come rent a Stand Up Paddleboard. Colorado has lots of different lakes, rivers and ponds that are perfect areas to get comfortable on a SUP while getting a great workout in. It is a combination of surfing with kayaking and is one of the fastest growing water sports in the world. One huge reason people are so drawn to this sport is because it improves your core strength, cardio fitness, balance, and flexibility! Here are some great locations to bring your SUP this summer!
Lake Dillon: If you are staying in the Summit County area this summer, Lake Dillon is a great place to either rent stand up paddleboards or take the whole family on a guided tour. If you have your own SUP and are looking for a great place to do your morning yoga, Lake Dillon has breathtaking scenery and a wonderful place to relax.
Colorado River: A great place to take a day trip with friends and family is definitely on the Colorado River. If you are looking for a guided ½ day stand up paddleboard tour, we offer those out of our Kremmling outpost. If you have a large group and are looking to paddle and float all day then this is a great location. With a hot springs to stop by, a rock for cliff jumping and all the wildlife you may see, why wouldn’t you come here?!
Evergreen Lake: If you are going to be close to the Denver area, then come up to Evergreen to experience the perfect serene mountain backdrop. There are hourly SUP rentals and private lessons offered as well. If you are interested in Yoga and fitness classes, they are offered at Buchanan Ponds. Come and enjoy a beautiful day while hanging out on and by the lake with friends and family!
Green Mountain Reservoir: Another great location, if you happen to have your own SUP or have a rental. You can definitely make a whole day of going with friends and family to the Green Mountain Reservoir. You can spend the day paddleboarding, cliff jumping, camping and boating!
