Oktoberfest 2018 in Breckenridge, Colorado is this Weekend

Oktoberfest in Breckenridge

If you are planning to attend Breckenridge’s 2018 Oktoberfest, you’re in for a treat! Tickets are completely SOLD OUT and there are going to be a ton of thirsty attendees waiting to get their drink on. This article will give you a rundown of the schedule, events, an what to keep in mind this weekend when visiting Breckenridge.

Friday, September 7th

The event will start off with the Main Street party in downtown Breckenridge. From 2:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday you can find some delicious food, awesome beer, and plenty of dancing along the main drag of Breckenridge.  After the party comes the Brew Master Dinner.  This elegant meal will feature some authentic German brews and delectable wines.  Tickets are sold out for the dinner this year, but if you’re lucky enough to snag one on the street, head to Sauce on the Blue Friday night for an evening to remember.

Saturday, September 8th

Start your Saturday off right with brunch at Breckenridge Brewery. Registration will begin at 9:30 and the cost is $55/person plus gratuity. While the chefs are preparing the four-course meal, there will be five beer pairings throughout brunch.  You won’t start the day thirsty or hungry after this fantastic breakfast.

Midday will be the annual Oktoberfest trail run.  Burn off the morning calories before you indulge in more craft brews in the afternoon. If you didn’t get a chance to register for the 5K this year, there will be plenty of fun watching the race from the sidelines.

Finally – the block party.  Happening all day in the heart of Breckenridge, the festivities will include endless food and beer.  Bring a stein or purchase one there and celebrate like the Germans do.

Sunday, September 9th

Make sure that you don’t take Sunday too lightly, because it is your last day to have beer for breakfast. This is not only the last day for all the beer, but also for the food, dancing, and all the social aspects that come along with this amazing street party. The best time to arrive will be around 11:00 AM when the festivities officially kick off again. Sunday will be a little shorter than Saturday, ending around 5:00 PM, but it will be the perfect conclusion to a great weekend.  There are a ton of breweries at the festival this year, so if you haven’t tried them all by Sunday, you better start hustling. The beer token and stein booths will be open at 10:00 AM so you can get a head start on the day.

If you’re not keen on spending the entire weekend with a beer in hand, Breckenridge Whitewater Rafting has plenty of adventures you can jet off for in the morning before joining in Oktoberfest festivities in the afternoon.  Call today to book your activities for the weekend!
