11 Must Try Restaurants in Breckenridge Colorado

When on vacation, one of the biggest issues you may come across is the lack of knowledge of the area you are vacationing in and where the best places to go grab a bite at are. As a born and raised local, I am here to help you find the perfect restaurant with little stress.

The Local Hot Spots:

Angel’s Hollow

Location: 113 S. Ridge Street Breckenridge, CO 80424

There are a few places in Breckenridge that are locals hang outs and serve some of the best food for a reasonable price. One of my favorite restaurants is Angels Hollow. It is a bit of a dive but don’t let that fool you. The food is great and the drinks are awesome!

Favorite Menu Item:

  • The homemade sauces the chef has available on every table
  • The Monte Cristo
  • Philly Cheese Steak
  • Anything else that catches your eye is sure to be delicious

Can’t Miss: The view on the back deck! Even in the winter you have to go check it out.

Soupz On

No matter the time of year, you will always see smiling faces in Soupz On. This is the place to visit for soups, salads, and sandwiches. Think of it as your local Panera but we think it is much better.

  • Rotating soups – I have never had a bad soup from here!

REDDZ on the Blue

Location: 421 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424

If you are looking for a delicious grab and go meal or the best midnight munchie food take a stop at REDDZ on the blue. It’s a small establishment that is right off of main street and serves the best Gyros in town.

My favorite items:

  • The Gyros (Obviously),
  • Frito Pie and lastly
  • The Mac and Cheese.

With the size of the restaurant you may be surprised by how awesome the food is!

The Family Friendly Bar and Grille:

Downstairs at Eric’s

Location: 111 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424

If you are looking for a super fun family friendly restaurant in Breckenridge your best bet is to go to Downstairs at Eric’s. This Locally owned restaurant is half arcade center half restaurant. They have a great selection of food and a large menu to please everyone in the family.

My Favorite menu items:

  • Gravy fries
  • Pizza with honey for your crust
  • The Taco Salad

Fatty’s Pizzeria

Location: 106 S Ridge St, Breckenridge, CO 80424

Fatty’s has a great patio for the summer and a super cozy inside for the winter. They have amazing pizza and maybe even better pasta. They’ve also got family buckets of pasta to help fill up the whole family after a day of activities.

My favorite Items:

  • Baked Lasagna
  • The Meatball Sub or the Meatball Pasta
  • The French Dip

You can not go wrong with any of their pizza!

The Trendy New Spots:

Breckenridge has over 90 restaurants and lots of visitors coming to try the delicious food after a day on the mountain. While some spots have been here forever, some new spots are popping up and they are must tries!

Aurum

Location: 209 S Ridge St, Breckenridge, CO 80424

Another one of my favorites is Aurum which offers some of the most genius takes on classic dinner items. For example they have amazing bread and butter as well as milk and cookies. Seems simple but it is anything but!

Favorite Menu Items:

  • Curried Cauliflower
  • Wedge Salad
  • French onion burger

Aurum does change their menu but I can assure you that you love anything that you try.

Relish

Location: 137 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424

Relish has Colorado style cuisine so it is the perfect place to visit for a fancy dinner in Breckenridge. The food is great and in the summer the patio has one of the best views in Breckenridge.

My Favorite Items:

  • The Baked Escargot
  • The Lemon and White Wine Steamed Mussels
  • The Tiger Shrimp

The menu is always changing but some of these items seem to stick around throughout the year. I had the pleasure of meeting the chef once and he was incredibly nice and wanted to ensure we had a great meal even if that meant him making a few changes to his dishes for diets.

The Best Seafood:

Mountain Flying Fish

Location: 500 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424

Another one of my favorites if you are looking for Sushi is Mountain Flying Fish. They offer some of the freshest and delicious rolls I have ever tried. I highly suggest just ordering everything on their Specials board because I can guarantee you it is going to knock your socks off.

  • Volcano Roll
  • The Dynamite Roll
  • The Spider Roll
  • The Caterpillar Roll

Sushi in Colorado seem like an odd choice? I don’t blame you, but Mountain Flying Fish has fresh fish delivered 6 days a week (each day they are open).

Southridge Seafood 

Location: 500 S Main St #2b, Breckenridge, CO 80424

This restaurant has great seafood and typically isn’t quite as busy as some of the restaurants right around it.

My favorite Menu Items:

  • Smoked trout dip 
  • Clam Chowder and anything else

Traverse 

Location: 112 Overlook Dr, Breckenridge, CO 80424

Look down on your favorite town at this mountaintop lodge that has one of the best dining spots. You can even stay here and enjoy the views all day long.

My Favorite Menu Items:

  • Truffle fries
  • Charcuterie Board
  • Southern Fied CHicken

Another one of those changing menus but this is the perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion while eating great food and taking in the best view.

Kenosha 

Location: 301 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424

Kenosha is known for their awesome back patio as well as their delicious barbecue. This could even fall into a family friendly restaurant because of their large menu with tons of options.

My Favorite Menu Items:

  • BBQ Platter
  • BBQ Shrimp
  • Pub Pretzels

With more than 80 restaurants in downtown Breckenridge there are lots to choose from. We could go on and on and add some other favorites to the list like Empire Burger for well a burger, or Giampetros for Pizza.
