Pine Creek and The Gauntlet on the Arkansas River
Pine Creek is the steepest, the most technical, and the most continuous section of whitewater on the entire Arkansas River! Our Pine Creek rafting trips launch in the tiny town of Granite, which quickly fades away upon entering beautiful Granite Gorge. A few miles of Class III-IV warm us up for the spectacular crux of the mile-long, Class V run, Pine Creek, where the river narrows to half its width and drops 200 feet over the course of one rapid! This Class V is followed immediately by another pulsing, complex Class V called Triple Drop! For the best day of whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River, choose the full day Gauntlet Rafting Trip, which pairs the famous Pine Creek with the classic Class IV Numbers rafting trip. One of the greatest days of whitewater in the world! The full day also includes our hot fajita lunch. This run demands good physical condition and a minimum age of 15 years. Now offering delicious breakfast, lunch & dinner options as an add on to these trips!

The Colorado rafting trip known as the Gauntlet does not disappoint. It truly is nature’s way of testing your whitewater abilities. This Breckenridge Whitewater Rafting trip takes place on Pine Creek, which is known for its rapid descent through the mountains of Colorado. As the trip begins in Granite Gorge you will get a chance to view the scenery and get used to the boat, but don’t get too comfortable because the ride gets bumpy. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you reach the rapid that takes you down 200 feet in elevation and the river narrows to half its width. Once you’ve passed through the Narrows you’ll brave through the Numbers and your fun-filled day will pause as you enjoy lunch by the river. After lunch we’ll take you and your group to a place where you can see some of the best views of the Colorado Rockies. Our zip line tours are located in the diverse landscape of the Gold Camp property which covers 44 acres and is home to dense forests as well as rocky cliffs. You’ll see the world from a whole new view as you take to the trees on our Colorado zip line. Minimum age for the rafting trip is 15 and all of our zip line tours have a minimum age of 10 (min wt 75 lbs, max wt 250 lbs).
