Prepare yourself for an intense and thrilling whitewater rafting experience. The Class IV Numbers whitewater rafting section has the most continuous whitewater on the Arkansas River. Its steep drops and narrow channels make this rafting trip the perfect adventure for the experienced or ambitious beginner rafter. The total trip is about 6-miles of heart-pumping rapids, with some mild areas to catch your breath and take in the sights. Diving into 8 Class III-IV rapids means you are guaranteed to get wet, but don’t worry, wetsuits, splash jackets, helmets and life jackets will be provided for free.
When you’re not maneuvering through technical waters, you can feast your eyes on the immaculate views of the Collegiate Peaks. The mountains in the Collegiate Peaks are named after Ivy-League schools, many of which summit at over 14,000-feet. Remember to watch out for wildlife! This trip features tons of opportunities to spot deer, elk, Big Horn sheep, and birds of prey throughout the Arkansas River Valley.
