On July 7th – 9th, Copper Mountain will host their 3rd annual music festival, featuring Bluegrass and Americana artists such as Del McCoury, Suzy Boggus, and much more! The festival is at the base of Copper Mountain and is free to the public.
This year, the festival not only offers free music, but also workshops, jam sessions, group outdoor adventure activities and celebratory fireworks to top the festival off. Copper Mountain village activities will be in full swing, hosting mountain biking and hiking opportunities, free lift rides, disc golf, bungee jump, a climbing wall, go-karting, water boats & bikes, a zipline and more. Copper Mountain also keeps their terrain park open on weekends through October 10th, so be sure to bring your skis/board for some summer shredding!
The festivities kick off Friday at 10:00am, with village activities at 3:30pm. You can grab a free pint of beer after a community mountain bike ride. Live music starts at 5:00pm from Umberto Fonte. Saturday promises to be action-packed with workshops and jam sessions throughout the day and live music from Del McCoury and Randal McKinnon. Sunday caps off the weekend with music from 12:00pm-5:00pm from Aaron Burdett, Suzy Bogguss, and Corb Lund.
Copper Mountain Resort, operating since 1972, sits in the shadows of the the western slope of the 10-mile range in the White River National Forest. It is a very short, 15-20 minute drive from the Dillon Valley, accessible by I-70 as well as the Summit County Stage providing free public transportation to and from Frisco.”
