As you may or may not be aware, Breckenridge Ski Resort has extended their season by one week; until April 27. This allows all spring skiers the opportunity to get the last run of the season. As if getting more awesome turns in on the mountain isn’t enough, we’re gonna suggest 3 awesome events in Breckenridge this April.
One of the most popular events that Breck hosts is the bi-annual Breckenridge Beer Festival taking place on Saturday, April 5, 2014. At the Breck Beer Fest, you can quench your thirst with your choice of beverage from over 30 different craft breweries. Even the rarest of brews is likely to make an appearance at this incredibly fun event. Tickets are selling out quickly, so be sure to snag yours while there’s still time.
The most action packed and activity filled event taking place in Breckenridge is Spring Fever! This event incorporates physically demanding challenges, parties and entertaining apre-ski concerts that all work together to usher in closing day at Breckenridge on April 27, 2014. Well-known artists such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddies and Blues Traveler will be headlining the apres-ski concerts at the base of Peak 8.
If you’re feeling up to the challenge, “The Imperial Challenge” demands participants to ride your bike 6 miles, ascend either 2500’ or 3000’ on your choice of gear and finally, descend to the base of Peak 8 and the finish line!
