Get the insider scoop for the real adventure and fun to be had in Colorado. From flying into the air in a hot air balloon with a toast of champagne to having wolves lick your teeth as a sign of acceptance, we don’t think you’ll be bored this summer.
Hot Air Balloon Ride – Enjoy a sunrise ride over the majestic Rocky Mountains. The balloon ride depart daily during beginning May 14th from South Park, located in Central Colorado. After taking in the stunning, early morning vistas, you will return to the earth where you will celebrate with a champagne toast and a traditional balloon breakfast.
Sand Dunes – Often referred to as a sandbox of epic proportions many visitors love to bring cardboard, snowboards, or sleds and plunge into the soft sand after a beautiful hike to the top. If you plan on sand sledding, get up early – the sand gets hot very quickly!
Wolf Sanctuary – The Colorado Wolf Sanctuary, W.O.L.F., for short, is a public, non-profit organization located in Divide Colorado, a short 45 minute drive from Colorado Springs.
Georgetown Train Ride – Georgetown, Colorado is located off I-70, about an hour from Denver. The train travels 3.1 miles around 2 loops and four different bridges, providing ample opportunities to take in the gorgeous Colorado scenery.
Fourteen Thousand Foot Peaks – Last, but not least, are Colorado’s famous peaks aptly named 14ers by the locals. There are over 58 peaks in Colorado that exceed 14,000 feet. Some of the most famous include Pikes Peak, Longs Peak, Grays, and Torreys. Each are unique and difficult in their own respect. The elevation gain can be anywhere from 5,000 to 9,000 feet.
