New Years in Breckenridge
December 26th, 2016
Planning for New Years is simple when you get to celebrate in Breckenridge, Colorado. The town offers great events for both adults and kids alike. Doesn’t matter if you are looking for a nice dinner, a champagne toast, dancing all night long or child friendly fun, Breckenridge is the best spot to be.
Beaver Run Resort will be hosting a great dinner for all ages at Spencer’s Restaurant. Following the dinner things really get festive in Coppertop Bar with live music and dancing. Here you can have the best of both worlds: dinner and dancing! Noisemakers and party favors will be of the plenty and adults 21 and up can partake in a free champagne toast at midnight.
Cecilia’s, located on Main Street, will have DJs, dancing, light snacks and a champagne toast. This 21 and up nightclub can fill up pretty quickly so the earlier you get there the better. Even cover charges are lower if you arrive early.
Around 9 PM (weather permitting) the sky over Breckenridge will be lit with a mind blowing array of fireworks! Have your imagination captured by the sights and sounds of a beautiful firework display over the beautiful town of Breckenridge. You can see them from anywhere in town but the best view will be off Main Street right in the heart of town.
And finally for the kiddos! The Glow Worm Parade hosted by Beaver Run Ski and Snowboard School is a long formation of children carrying glow sticks as they ski down a green run, making it look as if a glow worm is coming down the mountain. If you’re coming to town with your kids (ages 5 to 13 and who are able to stop and turn on green terrain), they’re invited to participate. Just take them to the Beaver Run Ski and Snowboard School at 5 p.m. for registration.
We hope to see you celebrating the New Year in beautiful Breckenridge!
