Planning Memorial Day Weekend in Breckenridge
May 13th, 2014
Memorial Day is just around the corner, so it’s time to start prepping. The end of May has been a long time sign that summer is on the horizon. This is the perfect time to kick off summer right; by doing some exhilarating outdoor activities! Breckenridge is a staple in Colorado culture, so it’s best to have a Colorado inspired weekend. Here are a few suggestions for planning your Memorial Day weekend in Breckenridge.
All of our outposts are close enough to Breckenridge to have a short commute to get you rafting. Drive north just a short distance, to Kremmling, and jump in some ducky boats and paddle down the Upper Colorado. If you’re looking for something crazy, why not give Pine Creek a try down in Buena Vista? Want something in the middle? Give the Upper Clear Creek trip a try. The overall goal here is to get soaked and have a blast!
We have two zipline courses that we offer. One in Buena Vista and the other in Idaho Springs. The Mountaintop Zipline Course in Buena Vista has seven zips where you’ll careen down the mountainside, all while shouting at the top of your lungs! The Cliffside Zipline Course in Idaho Springs, will take your breath away, too! With six exhilarating zips, you’ll learn how it feels to fly. Our zipline courses have new features added this year as well, so be sure to check us out.
Eat, Drink, and Be Merry
All great adventurers need to take a break every once in a while to recharge their batteries. With so many great locally owned businesses in Breckenridge, we definitely have something for everyone. Go play some games at Downstairs at Eric’s, get funky and take a shot at the Absinthe Bar or maybe grab some reggaeton ravioli down at Rasta Pasta too, mon!
